We understand that there continues to be a high level of uncertainty surrounding any holiday plans due to the developing situation around COVID-19. In order to provide our existing and new guests with additional support regarding your travel arrangements we have updated our policy which applies to new bookings made by 14th November 2021.

All bookings made up until 14th November 2021 will be eligible for our policy, with the new terms valid for all sailings taking place on or before 30th September, 2022.

  • Your new cruise can be up to the value of their current cruise, however if the new cruise is of higher value you will be required to pay the difference.

YOUR HEALTH IS IMPORTANT:
  • COVID19 SCREENING & HEALTH MONITORING FOR EVERYONE BEFORE AND DURING THE CRUISE: Both guests and crew members are subject to antigen swab testing and other checks prior to boarding. One additional COVID-19 testing for all guests during the cruise in addition to daily contactless temperature check. Crew members will undergo a COVID-19 test every 7 days. Our guests’ health is monitored on a regular basis (including daily temperature checks and one additional COVID-19 test during the cruise) and our ships have a fully equipped Medical Centre with an increased number of highly trained staff at your complete disposal.
  • DISCOVER ON PROTECTED EXCURSIONS: Shore excursions are carried out in a "protected" manner following our strict protocols, meaning that guests do not come into contact with people who have not also been subject to health and safety checks 
  • SOCIAL DISTANCING: In order to guarantee proper social distancing, the capacity of the ship does not exceed 70%. The use of masks is mandatory in public areas (except for restaurants, bars and when sitting on the sun deck)
  • CONSTANT CLEANING & SANITIZATION: All areas of our ships are sanitized multiple times per day with hospital-grade disinfectant and hand sanitizers available throughout the ship

1. Family and Friend locator 
At MSC Cruises we understand the realities of cruising with a large group of family or friends! We’ve introduced our Family and Friends locator to solve this conundrum. You can relax in the knowledge that your kids will never get lost. The MSC for Me wristband uses Bluetooth Low Energy technology and families and friends travelling together can locate one another on the ship map displayed on their MSC for Me app. It is the ideal way for guests to familiarise themselves with their surroundings and at the same time keep an eye out for their children! This technology can currently be found on MSC Grandiosa and MSC Seaside; it will be rolled out across our entire fleet in the coming years.  
 
2. Kids activities 
MSC Grandiosa will sail in November 2019 – and with 350,000 children being welcomed on board our ships each year – we have ensured that this magnificent vessel is packed with exhilarating entertainment! Brand new activities include MSC Dance Crew, The Drone Academy, Spy Mission and a new web series. MSC Dance Crew was created after we teamed up with the production company that produced the X-Factor! The competition sees teens compete to claim the prestigious title of dance crew of the year. By night, our younger crew members can discover the Drone Academy. This adrenaline inducing activity will see guests race drones through an indoor obstacle course in our Sportsplex venue. There will be a mystery to solve with our immersive Spy Mission which sees younger guests following clues throughout the ship! The mystery does not stop there! Early 2020, teens will watch another adventure unfold during our brand-new web-series, Cabin 12006. 
 
3. Family Explorer Club  
The MSC Family Explorer Club will create special memories that the whole family can share. Adults and children will be captivated by our expert guides and talented storytellers who are born entertainers. They bring the attractions and history of the locations alive! Children can jump into full explorer mode where they will accomplish a unique mission that is inspired by the location’s history – parents can use their imaginations too! But we understand the importance of adult time so we offer a complimentary service where children between the ages of 3-11 can enjoy our Mini Club instead!    

4. A club for all our patrons!
MSC Cruises is genuinely a family company! We understand the diverse needs of children and parents which is why all our vessels have a range of kids’ clubs from toddlers to teens – many of which are developed with LEGO® and Chicco! For our smallest guests on board we have Baby Club 0-2 where they can learn music, rhythm and play with a host of toys. Mini Club 3-6 is a hub for creativity where children can play with a range of LEGO® bricks. Junior Club 7-11 and Young Club 12-14 are packed with exciting activities and are filled with opportunities to make new friends! Teen Club 15-17 is the ideal place to hang out and partake in an extensive roster of themed events!
